Patient Eligibility
/ Ages Treated
Patients must be pediatric oncology survivors at least
2 years off treatment. The clinic will see patients
of any age.
Information Services
Educational information is given to patients and families
after a discussion of each case.
Clinical Services
In our clinic patients are seen by a late effects
nurse
practitioner in conjunction with pediatric oncologist.
Referrals to specialists are given as needed.
Psychosocial Services
Patients and/or parents are seen by a psychologist,
social worker, pastoral counselor, and school liaison.
Research
Research is ongoing. The current study is titled "The
Late Effects of Childhood Cancer on Occupational Therapy
Performance and Quality of Life."
Appointment Information
/ Times and Duration
The clinic meets twice a month on Tuesday, the late-effects
nurse practitioner is available for appointments on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday; appointments last 3
to 5 hours.
