Author: thedisabilityexpert.com
This site provides free information about applying for Social Security disability benefits.
http://www.thedisabilityexpert.com/index.html

This site hopes to take some of the mystery out of the process by which the Social Security Administration decides if a person qualifies for Social Security disability benefits. Late Effects of Cancer Treatment
http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/conditions/05/17/cancer.children.ap/index.html

This story was based on research presented at the 41st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in May 2005. Researchers studied 10,397 cancer survivors who were diagnosed and treated between 1970 and 1986 and 3,034 of their siblings who did not have cancer. The research showed the tremendous medical, financial and emotional burdens that those treated in the 1970s and 1980s are now facing.

A website sponsored by Ortho Biotech Products (marketers of Procrit), endorsed by figure skater Scott Hamilton. Provides practical and technical information about side effects and late effects of cancer treatments. Topics: medical definitions, managing side effects of chemo, eating well during treatment (and after, depending upon late effects that involve the digestive system), and a section of survivor experiences. Features a Message Board, although preserving the confidentiality of those posting to the board is unknown. Most useful for those seeking lists of late effects from specific antineoplastic agents and/or radiation therapy, and treatment guidelines for these late effects.
